Concept Completion were recently engaged to provide services for an AXA Bancassurance event. The conference, held in Newcastle and Manchester, involved presentations and an awards dinner. The lighting design included uplighting the set with colour-matched LED fixtures. Texture was also added to the set by four bright, colour mixing moving lights which were also used to generate vibrant and dynamic looks to the whole room as employees came up to the stage to collect their awards. Front light was provided to light the entire stage evenly as it filled with award winners, with a specific highlight on the lectern. Lighting control came from the Avolites Pearl Tiger, a perfect desk choice for this job as the control position had to be kept discrete and compact.
A specific look for a break-out room was required to facilitate a change in emphasis around the room. Rather than providing a bulky ugly tripod, Concept Completion provided a simple, elegant and compact lighting stand solution with three lanterns to spot-light areas of the room controlled from a neat, compact dimmer. This was easy for the client to control as they wished, adding another dimension to an interactive presentation.
Concept Completion provided transport and logistics for the lighting and set elements to each venue, ensuring all the equipment reached the venues at the required time.
Concept Completion were chosen by Christ Church Southport to design, specify and install a new platform lighting system for their main space. The church have a wide variety of activities in the space throughout the week and so required a creative and flexible solution which could be used by a number of different people.
The design, which was undertaken by our in house specialist, Tim Perrett, saw Concept Completion supply and install three custom built internally wired bars, twelve Selecon Acclaim fresnel lanterns and two Paradime six way dimmers, all of which were finished in a white powder coat finish to help them blend in with the aesthetics of the space. In order to control the system, a Strand 100 Series theatrical lighting console was also installed to enable individual control of each lantern.
Initially, Concept Completion provided a full briefing document to the church’s council outlining the proposed design, its applications, flexibility and physical look in the space. Liaison then took place with Christ Church’s appointed structural and electrical engineers to ensure the building had the capacity for the proposed installation.
The installation was then carried out over a number of days by Concept Completion’s highly trained staff which included fixing the new custom lighting bars safely to the infrastructure of the building; mounting and wiring the two three phase dimmers and terminating the control cabling into custom wallmount panels. The whole system was then tested to ensure that it complied with current electrical regulations. Finally, a demonstration was made to some of the users of the system as to the system’s creative capabilities and to ensure they knew how to operate their new platform lighting solution.
